GRANITE BORDERS LANDCARE SPECIAL SECTION-

AUSTRALIAN BUSHLAND SERIES.

This includes three categories:

10) Native Flora

11) Native Fauna (Including birds and reptiles)

12) Creative Bush Theme: Landscape/ Pastoral/ People in Nature

Please note that photos for this section need to be submitted as A4 size (19.7cm x 21cm)

FIRST PRIZE $100, SECOND PRIZE $75, THIRD PRIZE $50

Each category will have one first, one second and one third prize winner.

OVERALL, CHAMPION OF CLASS 10, 11 & 12 $150.00.

Note, the Overall Champion image will be a separate photo to any other winning images. Thus, an entry cannot win the Overall Champion and also be any other prize winner of another category.

HIGHLY COMMENDED $25

Note, the Highly Commended winning images will not have received any award in any of the other categories.

ALL 1ST PLACE’S IN CLASSES 10,11 & 12 WILL BE PLACED IN THE GRANITE BORDERS LANDCARE CALENDAR FOR 2027

When you are completing the online registration form, you will be asked to agree to the use of your image(s) for this purpose. If you are a winner, you will be contacted later to provide digital versions of your winning entries.

Local Photographer and owner of From My Notes Gallery and Store, Lara Flannagan will be the guest judge for the Granite Borders Landcare Special section – Australian Bushland Series.

Winners will be awarded on Saturday 7th at 10am at the Landcare Photography exhibition. If you are a winner, please make sure you head to the Pavillion for this.

Please note, while Granite Borders Landcare members are permitted to enter, GBLC Executive Committee and Staff are not permitted to enter.

CONDITIONS OF ENTRY

1. All photographs to be taken in the last 12 months

2. All exhibits to be delivered to the JH Reid Pavilion between 8am – 11am Thursday 5th February, 2026

3. Judging will commence at 1pm.

4. Exhibits can be collected at the Reid Pavilion on Sunday 8th February, 2026 from 8.30am -10.30am

EXHIBITS

Must be the original and unaided work of the entrant.

Must be mounted on BLACK, WHITE or COLOURED card leaving a 2cm maximum border for thumb tacks.

Must have the exhibitor’s name, contact details, class and title clearly written on the back.

The image must not exceed 15cm X 20cm unless stated in the class information.

Cannot be entered in more than one class.

May be colour or black and white.

No framed entries can be accepted.

No individual may enter more than 25 exhibits with a limit of 3 per class.

Individuals may enter in multiple sections.

The judges or photography Stewards reserve the right to change the class of the exhibit.

The judge’s decision is final.
